New to Accounting with questions

Postby hrotccadet » Wed Aug 12, 2009 9:42 pm

Hey whats up everyone I recently just switched my major to accounting, I was an education major but see that there is little future in so I made the very wise decision of switching to Accounting. Right now I am getting my associates in business adminstraion and when I am at a four year school next Fall of 2010 I will be majoring in Accounting with either a minor in Computer Science or as a double major in Accounting and Economics. I started my accounting classes this summer, well I should say that I took 2 classes intro to business and Accounting 101. I got a C in intro to buisness and plan to retake the class to get a B in it but with Accounting 101 I took it the first session of the summer and was not doing well in it so I had no choice but to withdraw from it so i signed up for it again the second session of the summer and passed it but unfortunitly I got a C in it. Now the guy who helps me out in the extra help center told me not to worry if i get a C or B in it because if doesn't matter but how much will this hurt me for when I apply for grad school and for when i start looking for work with the Goverment or a private firm?

Your grades will most likely make a difference in an application to grad school, but most likely will not be a major factor as you search for a job.
