Accounting v. Finance

Hi,

I am currently a junior at the University of Montevallo in Alabama. I would like to know the advantages of having an accounting degree as opposed to having a finance degree. My major as of right now is finance but I am debating whether or not to change to accounting. I have taken account 221, first accounting class, and I did very well. I would just like to see if accounting is a better degree than finance. Some areas of interest are pay and job availability.
