New accounting student - Need advise please!

I am applying to Cal State University, East Bay as a graduate student for MBA in Accounting. It will be a career change for me. I was wondering if any of you can give me some advise on how to approach this career wise. I am currently in the mortgage industry. Should I start applying for entry level jobs with Accounting firms now?

Also, I have read so much about student landing a great job after they graduate from the Top B-schools. So, what about students graduating from the State university? Any advise would be really appreciated.
